What Wicked: For Good is about

Elphaba, now called the Wicked Witch of the West, fights for the rights of Oz's Animals from hiding. Glinda, now Glinda the Good and the Wizard's public face, is pulled into the conflict as the regime moves against Elphaba. It's the second part of the film adaptation of the stage musical Wicked, released in November 2025.

Wicked For Good rating: what's in the movie

In the US and the UK, it's rated PG: parental guidance suggested, no age limit. In Germany, it's rated 12; the first film was 6. The UK's BBFC lists mild threat, violence, innuendo, and language. Australia's Council on Children and the Media, an independent nonprofit, describes a character who is taken and tortured and then transformed by a spell, and doesn't recommend the film for children under 9.

The film runs 137 minutes.

The habit kids may copy: please everyone

Glinda is beloved, smiles for the crowds, and goes along with things to stay liked. Young children may copy that at school: laughing along, even at a mean joke, so nobody's upset.

Try tonight: one rule that's theirs

Pick one rule together that your child keeps even when friends don't. Try: "I don't laugh at mean jokes." Say it once together tonight. In our program, the lesson "My fort" is about the few rules a child keeps no matter what.
