These terms cover your use of Raising Stoics — the website at raisingstoics.com, the course materials, the parent's handbook and the children's app (together, "the course"). The course is provided by Aleksei Martiushin, an individual based in Montenegro ("we", "us"). By creating an account or buying access, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the course.

1. What the course is — and isn't

Raising Stoics is an educational course for parents of children aged roughly 5–6: scripted lessons you run with your child, a handbook, printables, weekly letters and a short daily app.

It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are worried about your child's development, behaviour, anxiety or wellbeing, please talk to a pediatrician or a qualified professional.

2. Your account

• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• You must be at least 18 to create an account. The account belongs to the parent or guardian, not to the child.
• The children's app is meant to be used by your child with you nearby. You are responsible for how and when your child uses it.
• One account is for one household. Please don't share your sign-in with other families.

3. Free and paid parts

Right now the whole course is free. We may later offer paid parts; if we do, what is included and the price will be shown clearly before you pay, and nothing you already use for free will be charged for without your say.

4. Purchases and payment

This section applies once paid parts are available. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

When you pay, you are buying from Paddle, and Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply. Prices are shown at checkout; any sales tax or VAT is calculated and collected by Paddle according to where you live.

Unless a product says otherwise, a purchase is a one-time payment that gives you access for as long as we offer the course — it is not a subscription and does not renew.

5. Refunds

Every purchase comes with a full refund within 30 days, no questions asked. The details are in our Refund Policy.

6. What you may do with the materials

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the course for your own household. You may print the printables and lessons for use in your home.

You may not resell, republish, redistribute or share the paid materials, upload them elsewhere, or use them to run a paid class or programme, without our written permission. Teachers and therapists who want to use the course with groups — please write to us at [email protected].

7. Acceptable use

Please don't try to break, overload or get around the security of the service, access other people's accounts, or use automated means to copy the content.

8. Content and credits

The course text, lessons, illustrations, app and audio are ours or used with permission. Children's books mentioned in the course belong to their authors and publishers; we refer to them so you can read them with your child, and we are not affiliated with them.

9. Emails

We send sign-in codes when you ask for them. We send the weekly letters only if you tick the box to receive them, and every letter has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also turn them off in your account.

10. Privacy

We collect as little as we can, never sell your data and don't show ads. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes and availability

We keep improving the course, so lessons, the app and these terms may change. If we make a significant change to these terms, we'll update the date above and, where it matters, let you know by email. We aim to keep the service available, but can't promise it will never be interrupted.

12. Ending your account

You can stop using the course at any time, and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing paid materials publicly.

13. Liability

The course is provided with care but "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Montenegro. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
