What is Dead Rails?
Short answer: A Roblox survival game in which a team rides a train across a desert and fights zombies.
Its page sets the story in 1899, after a "Zombie Plague" swept the American continent, with a cure in Mexico. Players fight with guns, some of which are sold as game passes. It was created in January 2025 by RCM Games. As of October 18, 2026, it had about 6.6 billion visits and about 15,800 players online at once.
Dead rails age rating: what's in it
Short answer: Roblox is rated T for Teen; Dead Rails' own Roblox label is Moderate, one step above Mild.

Chat, purchases, and lawsuits
Up to 16 players share a server, and chat runs through Roblox. Game passes cost 95 to 175 Robux, including a Tommy Gun (175) and a Sawed-Off Shotgun (148) that a player starts with. Revives (45 to 200 Robux) and packs of Bonds, the game's currency (65 to 565 Robux), are sold too. We didn't find paid random items.
Several US states have sued Roblox, the platform, over child safety, including Louisiana (August 2025), Kentucky (October 2025), and Texas (November 2025). Roblox has disputed the claims, and we found no government action against this experience or its developers. More on the platform: Roblox.
