The habit kids may copy: one more pack

Opening a pack is a short surprise: a card flips, and it's either the player you hoped for or not. The habit kids may copy is wanting the next surprise right away.

Try tonight: the surprise that waits

Put a small treat in a paper bag and tell your child they can open it after dinner. While they wait, say: "Wanting is OK. Waiting is my superpower." In our program, this is the lesson "I'm the Boss of My Want": practicing the pause between wanting something and getting it.
