What Spy x Family is about

Spy x Family is a Japanese anime based on Tatsuya Endo's manga. A master spy code-named Twilight needs a fake family for a mission, so he adopts Anya, a little girl who can secretly read minds, and marries Yor, who is secretly an assassin. Anya secretly knows both of their secrets, but Loid and Yor don't know each other's. The first season aired in 2022, the second in 2023, and a third from October to December 2025. A film, Code: White, reached US theaters in April 2024.

The habit kids may copy: the family secrets

Common Sense Media notes that every member of the Forger family is lying to the others, though it also says the show shows an untraditional family being loving and supportive.

Try tonight: no mind reading

Anya reads minds, but we can't. At bedtime, say: "I can't read your mind. Tell me: is it sunny or rainy inside you?" Then share yours. In our program, this is the lesson "Weather Inside": naming what you feel.
