What is Wii Sports?

Wii Sports is a Nintendo game that launched with the Wii console in North America on November 19, 2006, and was packed in with the console outside Japan. Players swing the Wii Remote like a racket, bat, ball or club in five sports: tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing. Wii Sports Resort followed on the Wii, Wii Sports Club on the Wii U, and the series continued as Nintendo Switch Sports and, on Switch 2, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.

The habit kids may copy: winning is everything

Every round ends with a score and a winner. Some kids want to keep playing until they win.

Try tonight: cheer the try

Play one round of bowling together. After each throw, cheer the effort, not the pins, and say: "I didn't get a strike yet. I'm still learning." In our program, this is the lesson "Not Yet": the trying matters.
